General Information
FCT trains year round; players are expected to attend two practice sessions per week in the fall and spring and a minimum of one practice per week in winter and summer; Players are expected to be at all WYSL games (on average 10 in the fall and 10 in the spring) as well as attend tournaments (on average 3-4 per year) and to participate in State Cup games.
As a new club building momentum, we ask parents to consider volunteering their time; if you are free to assist the FCT Board in fund-raising, public relations, team administration, etc., please contact Constantin Albu at constantin.albu@snet.net.
Players and their families are expected to pay dues and fees on time. For information on club dues and fees, please contact Constantin Albu at constantin.albu@snet.net.
FC Transylvania Home Field
FC Transylvania‚ Inc.'s home field is at John F. Kennedy (JFK) High School in Somers. The field is located behind the school: follow the walk way behind the school in between the school and maintenance buildings; walk way begins on school (left) side of parking lot adjacent to football field; unless otherwise notified all practices and home games for FCT teams will take place at JFK.
JFK is located at 54 Route 138 in Somers
From the SOUTH:
Taconic Parkway to Route 100 North; proceed through the light at route 35; take right on route 138; school will be on your right OR
I-684 north from White Plains approximately 18 miles. Exit at EXIT 6A onto 22. Take a left at the top of the exit ramp and drive 1 mile north taking your first right. At the traffic light on route 138, take a left. JFK will be approximately 1 mile on the left.
From the NORTH:
I-684 south to exit for route 35 west; take right off exit ramp; proceed on route 35 west to light at route 100; take a right to proceed on route 100 north; take a right onto route 138; school will be on your right.
